11 yearsI’d like to share my concern regarding a disturbing incident involving my husband, who is living with dementia. He received a call from this number, and they were fishing for information from him. I walked in just in time to urge him to terminate the conversation. The caller mentioned they would ring him again in a few days, which is quite worrying. Upon checking his mobile, it seems they've contacted him before. From what he could recall, they claimed he was in an accident where he allegedly caused damage and that he had a compensation claim in his favour. I’ve since blocked the number, but I’m deeply troubled by the idea that vulnerable individuals like my husband can be taken in by such deceitful tactics. I even heard him state to them that he had dementia, and it feels as if they considered it a golden opportunity. It’s absolutely appalling.
