I picked up the call, but they hung up straightaway.

Had a call this morning from this number. The person on the other end said they were from o2 and were keen to discuss setting me up with a SIM-only deal at a reduced rate. No thanks, I’m not interested! Feels a bit dodgy, if you ask me!

I've received calls from various numbers lately, and this particular one seemed to be from the same group asking for someone named Amy (the last name was a bit hard to catch). I tried to clarify a couple of times that they’d dialled the wrong number, but they kept probing, asking if it was my phone and wanting to know my name. Naturally, I didn't divulge any details. After a handful of these annoying calls, I decided to stop answering unless the number was familiar, and I've since blocked it on my phone. Now, it's become quite the nuisance-averaging about one or two calls daily from yet another unknown number.
