Time for the usual line, "I’ve got more important stuff to sort right now," and all that jazz. No shock it'll be their area again in a month or so, and they’ll call back, same old story. We’ll see how it goes. Clearly they don’t bother checking if people are on the TPS list (I am). Can’t say I’m looking forward to the next call!

Got a call showing a Truro number, so I picked up since I know people from there. The bloke asked for me by name, said he was Luke from some alarm and security company. He claimed that others nearby are getting their place done and offered a free quote. When I asked where he found my number, he said online. I told him it was cold calling, but he argued that since the info was public, it wasn’t cold calling. I insisted it was and said I’d report him. He got annoyed and hung up. BLOCKED for sure.

Since lockdown, most of my hospital and doctor meetings are done on phone now. I was waiting for a call from the hospital, so when I picked up and a lady said "hello" and mentioned my name I thought it was them for sure. The lady on the phone introduced herself as Sarah from some Home Security company and called me by my name. I asked if she was calling from Truro, and she said yes, that’s where their Head Office is.
