On 31st August 2020, I received a call from this number but it just went silent and then hung up.

I've had loads of calls from this number and also 01442-875596, sometimes it's just silence, other times you can hear background noise like a call centre. One time, the person spoke with an Indian accent and said they were from OpenReach, but it definitely felt dodgy - I reckon it's a scam.

I kept calling back but no luck, no one answered. They just keep buzzing my phone over and over, and honestly, I'm not going to bother picking up anymore.

I got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent after a while, saying he was with Openreach and there was an issue. I asked him if he honestly believed folks would be daft enough to buy into this kind of trick, and he admitted they probably would! I told him to never ring us again and then hung up.

Over the past four days, I’ve gotten about five calls from this number saying they're from Openreach tech support. They never mentioned BT, and I’m not even a BT customer. Plus, there was a noticeable pause and the person had a heavy foreign accent, which made me think it’s probably a scam.
