I received a scam call on my Vodafone sim-only mobile for the first time, but unfortunately, I fear it won't be the last. The caller claimed to be from a company called Outreach, but their accent clearly indicated they were from the Far East. They tried to deceive me by saying that my neighbour (whom they knew by name) was using my internet. What a calamity! I decided to keep them on the line for a while, pretending to be concerned. Eventually, I asked them about the weather in Bangalore or Deolali. At that point, I couldn't help but inform them that their information was as useless as cow manure. After uttering this hyphenated obscenity, they quickly ended the call, most likely to find their next victim. I received a call from this number claiming to be associated with BT Openreach. They mentioned something about my broadband being compromised and went on about my IP address attempting to connect to various locations. The accent was clearly foreign, and they were most certainly not calling from Truro. 01872 267460 called me this morning around 7.30 but i ignored it. They called back about 1.30pm and claimed to be from Openreach saying there was some sort of security issue with my broadband. They asked if i shop or bank online. When i said no they wondered how i pay my bills. I told them i post a cheque every month. Then the call just cut off.

I just got a call from this number, it showed up as Truro County Court and Family Court, which seemed a bit strange to me, so I picked up. The guy on the line was some Asian man claiming to be from BT Openreach, which was a bit funny since I don’t even have BT. As soon as I started laughing, he just hung up.

Totally a scam. I picked up but stayed quiet. After about 10 seconds, a robotic voice said something about a problem with my National Insurance near North Wales. Obviously a con. BLOCKED!

They claimed it was Truro Family court, then a recorded message popped up saying my NI number was at risk and to press 1 to avoid an investigation. I just ended the call, reported it, and blocked the number straight away.

SCAM - Got a recorded message saying there was a problem with my National Insurance number and they threatened legal action if I didn’t follow some keypad instructions. Probably a trick to confirm the number’s active or maybe move you onto a premium rate call.

I didnt pick up when the phone rang but looked up the number afterwards. I saw I missed two calls, one from a private number at 11:20 and then this number about 4 minutes later at 11:24. I reckon its the same caller. Judging by most of the reviews here, its probably a scam.

Got a call from this number earlier today at 08.45 when my phone was off, it showed up as Amazon. When I rang back, the message said Truro County and Family Court isn’t taking calls right now and to try again later. Looked online and it does seem to be the official number for that court. Then, the same number rang me again at 11.12, and when I picked up, it was a message saying something about Vodafone and serious unauthorised interference on my internet account, threatening to cut it off in an hour unless I called back immediately. Seemed dodgy so I’ve blocked it - clearly a scam.

Someone called saying they were from BT and said my internet was hacked so they would shut it off unless I helped them fix it. I told them to contact my actual internet company instead. Pretty clear it was a scam trying to get into my computer. I just told them to jog on!

So yeah, turns out this number belongs to the Turo county court service. When I tried ringing back, there was this recorded message saying the court knows scammers are pretending to be them using this number and the cops are on the case. Honestly, if you’re not expecting a call from the court, best to just ignore it.
