I got a call from some overseas call centre pretending to be BT Openreach. They tried to scare me by saying there were dangerous files messing with my broadband and told me to check the lights on my router. They threatened to cut off my internet if I didn’t do it. I just told them to go ahead and disconnect it, and they hung up straight away. Not sure what would've happened if I'd played along with their nonsense.
