A pre-recorded voice informed me that £300 had allegedly been withdrawn from my Amazon account, alongside some other dubious activity on my bank account. It instructed me to press 1 if I wished to confirm the transaction and 2 to dispute it. I chose not to engage and simply ended the call. After that, I took the precaution of checking both my Amazon and bank accounts, but thankfully, I discovered no abnormalities whatsoever.
