I got a recorded call that claimed to be from my bank’s visa team about a payment of £600 going overseas. They asked me to press 1 if I wanted more info, which I ignored. They never actually said which bank it was, and that made me pretty wary straightaway. Plus, I don’t think my bank would ring me up like that over something like this. I reckon a call like this could really scare some folks and trick them into falling for a scam.
