I received a call from someone claiming to be with BT, saying they were looking into someone attempting to access my internet without permission and warned of a possible security breach. They requested that I describe the indicator lights on my router, but I felt quite uneasy and kept probing for more information that the initial caller couldn’t adequately provide. Eventually, I was told I was being connected to ‘the manager’. When I mentioned that I didn’t find their explanation convincing and suspected it might be a scam since I had no indication that anything was amiss, he became a bit frustrated and hung up on me after asking why I felt that way.
