This number rang me a few days ago just like some other ones. The guy on the phone wouldn’t tell me his name or who he was working for. He had a sort of American accent, sounded like he was from the States. When I wouldn’t say my name, he asked why I was being so rude to him. After that, I simply used my call blocker to cut him off.

He said he was there to fix some software issues I was having, but I wasn’t convinced.

Some bloke rang me saying there was an issue with my broadband and told me to turn on my laptop. I told him my internet was working just fine. He insisted I switch it on to find the problem. I said again, no thanks, everything's okay. Then he just said 'bugger off' two times and hung up.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from IT support, said there was a problem with my computer. Turned out to be one of those Indian tech help scams trying to get access to my stuff. Proper dodgy!

some guy with an asian accent called claiming he worked for the IT department and asked if i used a computer then just ended the call out the blue.

I've come across this number being used by a bunch of scammers posing as "Windows support". They're really trying to trick you into downloading dodgy software that might be a trojan. Just a heads up to stay vigilant!
