BEWARE OF SCAMS! Make sure to block these numbers and report suspicious texts to 7726 - just so you know, this isn’t a police number. It’s worth contacting your MP too, asking why the police’s Action Fraud site no longer lets us report scam calls directly, and why our phone networks haven’t adopted Caller ID Authentication to help cut down on these annoying calls. If you get scam texts, forward them to 7726. For scam emails or any screenshots of suspicious messages, send them to the police at '[email protected]' so they can look into it properly.

Completely with the comment above. I always ignore calls from unknown numbers. Never pick up if I don’t recognise who it is.

I saw the call was from Bicester but didn’t pick up since I don’t know anyone there. It only rang once and they didn’t leave a voicemail. I hardly ever pick up calls from numbers or places I don’t recognise - usually spam or telemarketers. Lucky we’ve got caller ID these days!
