I've fallen victim to a fraudulent operation impersonating Vero Energy Ltd, which claims to deal in carbon credits. The similarities in their approach, as well as the content on their promotional materials and website, are astonishingly close. Regrettably, I've parted with a significant sum of money for a bogus investment. The scheme involved purchasing credits from a legitimate initiative (in my case, Yingpeng in China), which were supposedly held and then sold to corporate clients a few weeks later, supposedly yielding about a 20% profit minus fees. This cycle repeats, luring you in with the promise of easy returns, yet you never see a penny of your investment returned. If you attempt to withdraw funds, they simply vanish without a trace. Should you find yourself in a similar predicament, please take the time to report your situation to the authorities via actionfraud.police.uk or by calling 0300 123 2040. Alternatively, feel free to reach out to me at [email protected].

I'm curious about this number that keeps popping up on our phone whenever we return home from work. It's strange because there are no messages or missed calls associated with it. Quite baffling, if you ask me!

I've received a couple of calls from this number. Should we pick up, or just let it ring? What do you reckon?

We’ve received a call from a so-called "trading" firm trying to sell us carbon credits. It all seems rather suspicious, if you ask me.

Heads up to anyone linked with Oxford Sunergy - your info’s probably been passed around. I’ve been getting calls from Simply Airtime (www.simply-airtime.com), and it feels super dodgy. They use a shady sales pitch that screams scam. The company seems inactive but somehow pops up with multiple international offices. They call from withheld numbers, have had loads of director switches, and there’s nothing genuine about them. Check this out for more details: http://bizzy.co.uk/uk/07478784/simply-airtime. Better to steer well clear!

I got ripped off by a company pretending to be Vero Energy Ltd, dealing with carbon credits. They copied everything - their brochure and website looked just the same as the real thing. I ended up losing quite a bit of money through what was basically a fake trading scheme. The deal was you buy credits from a project (mine was Yingpeng in China, which is legitimate) and then supposedly sell them on to one of their business clients after 6 to 9 weeks, earning roughly a 20% profit minus fees. They say you just keep reinvesting and making profits, but actually, the money never appears back in your account. When you try to get your money back, they vanish. If you’ve put money into this, I’d recommend reporting it to the police via actionfraud.police.uk or call 0300 123 2040. You can also contact me at [email protected].

I phoned this number again and got an automated message about "high call volumes" or something like that. I left a message asking them to take me off their calling list. Not sure if it’ll do any good, but at least I got to irritate them a bit for a change.

Got a call yesterday from some bloke with loads of noise in the back, couldn’t really catch what he was saying. Mentioned Synergy Energy and carbon something or other. Complete nonsense if you ask me. Ended up just hanging up on him.

Got a call earlier from some bloke trying to push carbon credits on me. I've come across this scam once already. Funny thing is, they always play these pretend sounds of a trading floor in the background, making it hard to hear what they’re even saying.

Honestly, stay clear of it. It’s a total con. Don’t get involved at all.

So, I came across this company Oxford-Sunergy, they’re into selling carbon credits. Their website’s been around since June 20th, 2012. Honestly, I’m a bit on the fence about them. The sales rep going by Henry Gold handles the deals.
