Got a call from someone saying they were Virgin Media and that there was a problem with my broadband - total scam about a fault on my line.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from BT, but I’m not even with them. He kept going on about BT internet being connected to my router and causing slow speeds. When I asked if he knew my name, he just threw out some random guesses. Told him to sort it out with my actual provider and to stop wasting my time with these calls. Not interested at all.

Someone rang me up saying they were from a charity and asked if I wanted to chip in. I told them no and hung up straight away. It’s not that I don’t want to give, I just prefer not to do it over the phone or internet - I worry it might be a con. I usually just give money to local causes in person.
