got a call around lunchtime saying it was about me applying for call blocking which ive had with bt for ages. the guy knew my name, address, phone number and even that i pay by direct debit. he told me i wouldnt get any more spam calls then asked me to confirm my card info so i hung up straight away. defo scammers trying it on.

I got a call from the number 01865778754 which seemed just like this one. They were super pushy, asking me for my entire debit card number, claiming it was for some 'voice ID' biometric check. I didn’t fall for it and refused to share anything. The caller sounded really convincing, I can see how someone not paying attention could easily hand over their info.
