Somebody called about a policy for a washing machine but couldn’t get my model right. I ended up just hanging up on them. Don’t know who it was.

Got a call from someone claiming to be about an energy rebate, said they were from Maidenwells Garage, a woman called Nickie. Sounded fishy to me, probably a scam.

Did anyone catch that Ofgem announcement? They mentioned "insert name of companies house owner" but with a thick foreign accent. Weird, huh?

They refused to reveal their identity and opted to contact me via email instead...

This was a total scam, and the English they used was all over the place and hard to understand. Absolutely rubbish experience.

As soon as I picked up, the line went dead straight away.

When I asked about his website, http://www.winyourclaims.com/, the guy who said he could reclaim fees from my energy broker just hung up the phone. Suspicious behaviour if you ask me.
