Just the usual nuisance calls, to be honest. There was a moment of silence on the line, followed by some foreign-sounding chap trying to sell me something related to business matters. I had to inform him that I'm not a business owner and that it’s a private number! Surprisingly, he actually said sorry!

I keep receiving calls purporting to be from 118 Online. This has happened several times, and I’ve made it crystal clear on each occasion that I want our number removed from their database. Most recently, a chap informed me that despite my requests, they'd persist in calling until their survey was finished for research purposes. Lo and behold, I got another call today and ended up going through the survey. They quizzed me on whether I own the business, if we have a website, how many clients come via our website, and whether we’d like to attract more clientele. After wrapping up the survey, she mentioned she would connect me with a colleague for a complimentary consultation to explore how they might assist us. I firmly instructed her to remove my number from their list once the survey was done, but she kept coming up with reason after reason. In the end, I just hung up.

I keep getting calls from some call centre in India that uses all sorts of different numbers, like ones with Liverpool area codes and others. Over the past couple of weeks, they've phoned me around twelve times at least. They're apparently after people who've been involved in traffic accidents where it wasn’t their fault. Whenever I tell them to take me off their list, they just end the call. It’s becoming really frustrating now.

They asked me to hold while they tried to connect me, then there was about 4 or 5 rings before the call just dropped. A different but close number called me not long ago trying to trick me into handing over cash for some dodgy sounding bonds. Seems suspicious to me.
