I received a call from someone purporting to be from Ofcom, claiming they could provide me with complimentary call-blocking services for my phone line. Interestingly, the number they called from wasn't the one they suggested I use to validate their identity. To top it all off, that alternative number seems to be unlisted or just not registered anywhere. Quite suspicious, wouldn't you agree?
