Right from the start, some bloke calling himself a senior account manager seemed really full of himself and kicked off with a really pushy "how are you today?" Honestly, I found it really irritating. Plus, there was so much background racket, I could tell it was just another annoying call centre desperate for a sale. Honestly, don’t bother answering these calls, it’s a total waste of time.

I recently received a call on my mobile, which I primarily use for family matters, and since the number was unfamiliar, I chose not to pick up. Oddly enough, I’ve already had three other missed calls from unknown numbers that I did answer, but only to find them to be quite bothersome. To make matters worse, I got a call on my landline and I foolishly pressed return call, expecting a proper conversation, only to be met with some dreadful music. Quite likely that’s going to incur some costs. I seem to recall the number was from Glasgow. I did provide my contact details to a company when I purchased a mattress; could that possibly be linked to this?
