A few days back I got a ring from this number. Funny thing is, my neighbour got called by the same number about an hour and a half earlier but didn’t pick up. The police are catching on, but keep letting them know and tell your local news too. Never share your personal info, bank details, or let these people into your house. If they show up or you’ve already dealt with them, get the police involved straight away. It’s definitely a SCAM!

Got a call from someone named Patrick around 10 this morning. I used my BT phone blocker to block the number straight away. Then, weirdly enough, the same number rang me again at 5:45 in the evening. I've blocked it again now, fingers crossed it actually sticks this time. Pretty sure it’s a scam anyway since I did my own loft lagging and boarding about four years back.

A bloke with a very English accent called, seemed like one of those common loft insulation cons. We actually require new loft lagging. This supposed gov scheme calls itself free. He wanted to come round for a loft check today. Our loft isn't just storage, it's split into three bedrooms. This numpty has called me more than 80 times, sometimes calling me multiple times daily. Every time he pitches his nonsense, he completely fails to remember my voice, so I just drag the call out for as long as I can. He spun a load of rubbish about needing to get inside my house. This loft insulation firm offers a no-cost survey but it’s really a tactic to pressure you into spending a fortune on spraying foam all over your loft space. They’ll try to gather loads of personal info from you, so why not hand over bank details and PINs as well, seems legit? Even better, pay them upfront - then they’ll probably never show or bother you again. The downside? You might end up on a dodgy list sold to other companies, so expect plenty more calls trying to sell you ‘free’ stuff. Remember, nothing’s truly free - the only freebie here is the trap.

Thing is, I've never had any insulation put in my loft. I kept quiet though. The call was all chopped up, so whenever I tried to reply, it jumped to another part about other services they offered. If you don’t sound like some elderly person ready to give out their bank info, they just cut the call. Just got off the line after reporting them to the police once more.
