The caller spoke with a really heavy foreign accent. They were asking about a £399 Amazon purchase I supposedly made. I told them I hadn’t. Then they claimed it was ordered by a family member, I said no again. Afterwards, they asked if I wanted to go ahead with it. I just ended the call.

I received a call from someone claiming to represent Amazon, stating there was a suspicious transaction involving my account pertaining to an iPhone 7. (Honestly, who in their right mind would be looking to buy such an outdated model through fraud?) I simply told them to clear off. I also got a text message containing a one-time passcode that seemed to come from Amazon, but trust me, it’s definitely not legit!
