I got a call from someone who said he was “Alex” and worked in the refund team for “Kitchen Appliances”. He almost got my name right and told me I’d been overcharged by £249, so I was entitled to a refund. He claimed to be calling from Central London but got evasive when I asked for more details about the company because he supposedly didn’t have time. I told him I thought it was a scam. He just replied, “You caught me” and then ended the call.
