I don't recognise this number as it's not in my voicemail contacts. The moment the 'please leave a message...' prompt starts, they hang up. If it were a genuine caller, surely they'd take the time to leave a message, wouldn't they?
I recommend getting a voicemail service with caller ID. That way, these pesky scammers will just end up getting annoyed!

I got a call off a woman claiming she was from Sky about problems with my router. I said the police were tracking the call to catch fraudsters (a bit of a fib) and she kept insisting it wasn’t a scam before suddenly hanging up on me.

Got a dodgy call from a woman with a foreign accent claiming my computer had been hacked. She asked if I only had a mobile, then insisted that was compromised too, wanting to know the brand or model. I wouldn’t say, which seemed to annoy her. She started saying my phone would get blocked as it was hacked, but I told her she didn’t even know what phone model I had, so that’s nonsense. Ended up hanging up because she was just irritating me.

Got a dodgy call from some woman with a foreign accent saying my laptop got hacked. She asked what kind of phone I had after I said it was just a mobile, then said that was hacked too. I didn’t want to tell her what type it was and she got quite irate. She started telling me my phone would get blocked because of the hack. I just told her she didn’t even know what phone I own, so that’s not happening. Ended up hanging up since she was getting on my nerves. Now I’ve blocked that number for good.
