She asked, “how are you doing today?” I replied, “I’m no longer a customer.” It was still dark in the bedroom. When I looked up the number, something felt dodgy. BT doesn’t normally call customers that early or from numbers like this. Normally they use 0845 or 0300 prefixes. Since we blocked scam calls from landlines, we usually get calls from mobiles now, mostly between 7 and 10am.
