Got a call on my phone from an unknown number, so I've just blocked it.

Yet another scam call! Seriously, when will Ofcom actually start going after these scammers? Feels like their CEO couldn’t care less, just raking in loads of cash without doing anything about it. It's so frustrating!

They gave me a ring claiming there was an issue with my internet. But when I tried calling the number from a different phone, it just said the number isn’t active. Bit fishy if you ask me.

I've received yet another call from a random number in Scotland, making it the fourth one today alone. These calls seem to be multiplying each day, and I've made it a point never to pick up. If any of them were genuine, they'd either appear in my contacts or leave a voicemail, wouldn’t they? I tend to check on this site afterwards-massive thanks for providing such a resource-and promptly block these irritants. It's becoming a right pain, especially since I'm juggling a lot at the moment! I can't help but think about those who might be more vulnerable; this could really have a negative impact on them. Perhaps there should be stricter regulations around who gets access to phone numbers? It feels like it's more challenging to obtain a legitimate line than it is to bombarded with these dodgy calls.

Utter nonsense! Claims to be an insurance firm, but it’s clearly just a load of spam.

I found the whole encounter quite shocking. The woman introduced herself as Tracy, but frankly, with her strong Indian accent, I'm a bit sceptical about her identity. To make matters worse, she somehow had my name, along with an old address I haven't lived at for a decade! When I pointed out that I no longer resided there, she rather arrogantly insisted, "Yes, it's your address," and kept on repeating it! Quite amusing, really! She even said, "Shhhh... I'm telling you, it's your address," as if that would convince me. So, Tracy, what exactly is your angle? Are you planning to pull a fast one on me? And then just like that, she hung up!

Received a call from this number today, and I’m so relieved I didn’t pick up after doing a quick search here. Huge thanks to everyone who shared their experiences! I'll definitely be blocking this number right away. I’m based in Scotland, and I had a chuckle at the mention of Tain-never came across it before, so that was a little nugget of knowledge gained! These sorts of calls are quite the bother, and since it's supposedly a BT line, they ought to shut it down at once. I’ll make an effort to notify BT about this. Cheers to you all! x
