Even though I’m on the TPS list, it doesn’t appear to stop these calls much. I just didn’t pick up because I didn’t know the number, but after looking it up, it was pretty clear it was a scam. I wonder if the TPS actually works? When will the Government step up and tackle these scammers properly? It’d be great if the police, phone companies or Ofcom could begin using the call-blocking tools that places like the States have already implemented to keep these annoying and risky calls at bay.

Got a bloke on the line claiming he was doing a survey. I threw a question back at him, asked where exactly he was calling from. He said UK, UK again, and then Yorkshire. Thing is, the location info on his number put him in Tain, which isn’t anywhere near Yorkshire. So yeah, bit of a fibber there. Funny thing is, when he ran out of places he could pretend to be from, he just dropped the call. Typical!
