Sometimes when I get a call from a number I don't know, I pick up but don’t say anything. Almost always, I quickly hear a click and the call ends. If I catch any sort of noise or people talking in the background, I put the phone down straight away. If it’s something important, they’ll leave a message anyway.

Got a call and they just cut it off straight away. I reckon it’s some kind of robo check to find if your number’s active before they bombard you with loads of annoying spam calls!

Sounds like they're just ringing to check if someone's there, probably so they can flood you with junk or sell your number to other scammers. Best thing is to just block these scammers right away!

Got a ring from this number earlier, claiming to be from 02 and wanting to chat about my contract. Took a moment to figure out what they were saying since their English was really poor. Anyway, I’d never give out my info on the phone to strangers, so I just ended the call. Pretty obvious it was a scam!

I don’t know why they keep ringing me, but it’s like 4 or 5 calls every day and I’ve got no connection to them at all.

I've gotten two calls from this number today. Every time I pick up, there's silence for a bit, then some kind of noisy background like a call centre, and right after that the call just cuts off. Not sure if it's spam or something else. Quite weird really.

Picked up the phone and as soon as I did, there was this click noise and then it just went dead. Most likely another scam call, I reckon.
