They got going pretty early, like at 9 in the morning. It was one of those pre-recorded messages again, saying Amazon Prime had charged me £399 (if only I had that sort of money!). They told me to press 1 if I didn’t authorise the payment, so I did. Then this woman, probably working in some call centre far away, tried to carry on the chat but ended up getting blasted by my high-pitched dog whistle in her ear. Of course, when I tried to ring back, the number she called from wasn’t even real. Typical!
