Got a call from 4998657191 saying there was a £900 charge on my Amazon account and if I wanted to speak to someone, to press 1. It was obviously an automated robocall trying to scare me.

On 21/07/20, I got a call from a guy with an Indian accent saying they’d be turning off my VIRGIN internet for a couple of months. Funny enough, my ex-step mum had a very similar call a couple of weeks back, but hers was about SKY. She just hung up straight away, which was smart. I told them to jog on, no way was I falling for it!

Got two calls today from two different ladies with Asian accents, both saying they were from the BT tech team. I’m not even with BT, so I guessed it was dodgy straight away. When I let out a loud whistle right down the phone, she quickly ended the call. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me!

This number kept ringing me non stop, like 12 times in just three hours! So annoying.

As soon as their voicemail picked up, I just hung up. Such a hassle of a call.

Today, I got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming to be from BT. He warned me my internet service was going to be disconnected in a couple of weeks. When I asked for his name, he said Max Wilson and even mentioned a BT office in London. He tried to walk me through some steps on my computer, but I kept asking what exactly I should be seeing. After a while, when I just pretended to be following along on my PC, he just ended the call.

Seriously, this feels like nothing but a dodgy scam and a right pain, doesn't it? Maybe the law folks ought to crack down on these jokers because what they're doing can't be legal. We should all come together and take legal action against them!

Got a call from 01857495821, some Asian bloke claiming there was a virus on my PC and he was ringing from BT’s main office in London. Thing is, my broadband isn’t even with BT! I just hung up straight away. Had calls like this from similar numbers before, probably just a scam.

I didn’t pick up since the number looked unfamiliar. After seeing what others said, I’m actually happy I didn’t. I’ll make sure to tell my friends and family to watch out too.

Got a call from 01857495821 bright and early, around 8 in the morning. Some lady from a call centre answered, but as soon as I said "hello, hello", she just dropped the call. Proper muppets, honestly.

Got a call from some common scammers pretending to be from BT saying my PC was full of viruses. Since I know a fair bit about computers, I decided to have a bit of fun with them. They asked me to type 'eventvwr' in the run box, but instead I put it in the search bar, which pulled up loads of info about scams like theirs. When I told the guy it was all a con, he just swore at me and cut the call. Would be grand if he did pop back to sort out those viruses though! :)

Got a call from 01857 495821, some Asian man saying he was from BT and there was an issue with my internet. I told him to show proof because BT usually contacts me via email, not calls. He claimed the email wasn't working and needed to fix my computer. I said I'd ring BT myself as I didn’t believe him and ended the call. He rang back three times but eventually gave up.

So it's Wednesday 9th August and these calls haven't stopped yet. I picked up and all I got was a voice saying 'Goodbye' before cutting off. Then when I tried calling back, a message claiming to be from BT said the number was out of service. So why am I still getting calls from it this morning? Honestly, it's confusing and really annoying!

I got a call from an Indian guy claiming BT would cut off my internet for a couple of months because my computer supposedly had loads of junk files. When I said I wasn’t with BT for my internet, he insisted that no matter who I used, the service was all through BT. He told me to power up my computer and that he’d fix everything for me. I went along with it for a bit just to see where it’d go. He wasn’t interested in what I had to say though, so I eventually hung up and said I’d get in touch with BT myself. It’s scary how easily some people might fall for these kind of scams.

Even though the number was showing a Scottish area code, the lady on the phone had a really thick Asian accent. She said she was phoning from BT tech support about my internet. I told her my internet isn't with BT. Then she started calling me "ma'am," which always makes me suspicious of dodgy calls, and said they’d be cutting off my internet for a couple of months! I just replied, “No chance!” and hung up. Let’s see what happens next.

Got a call from a man with an Indian accent claiming to be from BT, warning that my internet would be disconnected for three months. Since I've never had a BT account, I asked him for his name and a BT contact number. He dodged the questions, only repeating if I had a computer. I told him I wouldn't respond until he gave his name. Then he asked again if I had a computer. I repeated my request for his name, and he bluntly said he wouldn't answer my questions. I told him the feeling was mutual and ended the call.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent saying she was with BT. I just kept her waiting and then left the phone down. Heard somewhere that if you say 'hang on a sec?' and then don’t come back straight away, it messes with their call pace. Seems to work alright, as they don’t get chance to ring around too quick.

Once more, it's a UK BT landline. BT obviously knows who is footing the bill for this line and could probably disconnect it today and give the subscriber's details to the cops. Yet, they never seem to take any action.
