Total rip-off. They acted like they were from BT and even sent a PIN via text to try and prove they were legit. They claimed my broadband had some dodgy connections (like time_wait, listening and all that) and said I had to follow some steps to cancel them. They messed up by asking me to enter a strange tinyurl link though, that would’ve let them get into my computer. There’s a lot more to it, but honestly, it’s all just a complete con.

Total rip-off. They claimed to be from BT and even texted me a so-called verification code to make it look legit. They said they noticed unauthorised broadband usage (talking about time_wait and listening states) and insisted I had to enter some codes to cancel them. Lucky for me, they picked the wrong person when they told me to type in a weird tinyurl link. That would have let them hack into my computer. There’s more to the tale but yeah, they are definitely just scammers.
