Total rip-off. They acted like they were from BT and even sent a PIN via text to try and prove they were legit. They claimed my broadband had some dodgy connections (like time_wait, listening and all that) and said I had to follow some steps to cancel them. They messed up by asking me to enter a strange tinyurl link though, that would’ve let them get into my computer. There’s a lot more to it, but honestly, it’s all just a complete con.

What a complete con! They masqueraded as BT and even had the audacity to text me a confirmation PIN, claiming it was to verify their identity. They went on about having detected some dodgy broadband activities-things like time_wait and listening connections-and demanded I follow a sequence of steps to sort it all out. Little did they know, they messed with the wrong individual when they asked me to punch in a tinyurl link. That would’ve handed them the keys to my laptop. The tale is far more intricate, but make no mistake, these folks are nothing but fraudsters!
