Got a call from 01854537359 at about 7.30pm, but since I didn’t recognise the number, I just let it ring out. Later I looked it up and found out it was marked as a scam. So I quickly blocked it straight away.

Scam alert! They’ve rung me up three separate times and every time I asked who they were and how they got my phone number, they just hung up. So annoying. I ended up blocking them, but guess what? They blocked me too so I can’t call them back. What a bunch of muppets!

Got a random call from someone who asked what company I was with and who I was talking to, then just hung up. Pretty sure it was a scam.

Got a call out of the blue from someone saying they were an insurance rep wanting to go over my life cover. He said he was checking different policies and had a “better” offer for me. I wasn’t interested though, so I told him no thanks and asked him not to call me anymore.

So, I got a call from a bloke asking if I’ve got life insurance, he said he was from Ullapool, Scotland. I just hung up but then he rang me back again on the number 02035355974. Thing is, the caller ID showed a London number, which immediately made me suspicious. Pretty sure it was dodgy, a total scam if you ask me.

I got a call but before I could say anything, they just cut off. Tried ringing back but apparently the number doesn't work anymore.

this number keeps ringing asking for someone called miss gourlay. i first got a call about 5 years back and blocked it straight away. recently cleared out my blocked list and now they’re back on the blower. i picked up this time just to see what’s going on, and i reckon i’ll be getting mad calls for miss gourlay now. no idea who she is or what they want, but i doubt she’s even real. such a pain honestly.

They called saying there were government grants available for green energy. When I told them I was just renting the place, they ended the call straight away.

Got a call from what sounded like an Indian call centre with really thick Indian accent. The bloke claimed to be from some Housing Disrepair firm, said they were based in Manchester. When I asked for their office address and VAT registration number, he just cut the call. Definitely a scam, steer clear of these guys.

Had a ring from someone pretending to be with a firm doing work for the government, offering free heaters and boiler installs. I was pretty sure it was dodgy from the start but played along to hear more. They told me I needed to be on benefits to get it. I told them I’m not, so I wouldn’t qualify, and they ended the chat quite nicely. It’s a total con if you ask me!
