I got a call from a lady claiming to be from BT, saying my internet was running slow and that I had some kind of issue. She asked if I had a PC or laptop so she could assist with the supposed problem. I told her everything was fine and she just ended the call. I reckon her plan was to get remote access to my computer to "sort it out". I checked the number by dialling 1471 afterwards, and it definitely isn’t a solicitor’s number. Do you think their number might have been spoofed or somehow stolen?
