I got a call from someone with an Indian accent saying they were from BT and claimed someone was trying to use my internet around midnight. When I said I'd get in touch with them later, they just hung up on me. Quite suspicious if you ask me.

Got no clue who this could be. Seems like just another dodgy caller tryin to get some cash.

Like many others have mentioned, the caller had that typical Indian accent and there was a lot of background noise, claiming there was an issue with my broadband. The only thing he gave me was a phone number, couldn’t verify any ID or proof. I kept messing with him for a bit, then asked to be connected to his manager. Ended the call after that and immediately put the number on my blocked list of 1572 contacts. Seems like it could easily fool people who aren’t careful.

Not sure that was actually his name, judging by the accent. He was warning me my internet would be cut off for ten days. This isn't the first time he's rang, or one of his mates, with the same story - feels like one massive scam to me.

They just kept breathing heavy then suddenly cut the call. I’m so tempted to give them a piece of my mind!

The caller’s presentation was really sloppy, and it was obvious they were pretending to be from some office. Luckily, BT Broadband had already called me the night before offering an upgrade, but they confirmed my current service was fine and there were no issues!
