I received a voice message that was pronounced in an exceptionally clear and commanding English accent. It informed me that my internet connection was soon to be activated, prompting me to either press 1 or 2 to reach BT, or to allow the disconnection to take place. It struck me as an obvious scam aimed at hooking me up with a pricey premium rate number. If you happen to get a call from this number, I strongly recommend just hanging up and blocking it immediately. It's definitely a scam that could lead you into trouble!

got a call with a strong english accent, very clear, saying my internet was going to be connected soon and to press 1 or 2 either to talk to bt or to let it get disconnected. obviously just a scam trying to make me dial a pricey premium number. if it rings you, just hang up and block it straight away. definitely a dodgy scam alert!
