Got a bunch of dodgy numbers hitting my mobile, looks like they might’ve got out there through some ads or something. Numbers like 01844345790 and 01423396686 keep calling, coming from places like Thame and London. All seem dodgy, maybe robots or telemarketers, definitely not people I want to hear from. My personal block list keeps growing with these.

I got a call from a lady who spoke with a Asian accent, claiming she was from Windows. She said there was a problem with my computer and told me to get on my PC and change some IP address settings. She called me three times within five minutes and then rang once more around twenty minutes after that.

This lady kept ringing, insisting that our computer's Windows had to be re-registered, and apparently only she could guide us through it or we'd lose everything. We weren't having any of it and told her straight up that if the computer broke down, we'd simply buy a new one!

Just got a call from 01844 345790 as well - some woman with a foreign accent claiming to be from Windows support asking for the computer owner. She asked for a licence number, something like 888dc - . I hung up, blocked the number, and then she called back immediately. I didn’t pick up the second time but she kept ringing non stop. Honestly, these annoying calls really must be stopped!

Received a call from a woman claiming there was an issue with my computer. I told her I don’t own a computer, just a tablet. She then kept insisting that the number I was using was linked to a computer problem. She wasn’t willing to accept my answer and kept pushing. Eventually, I just ended the call.

this woman kept insisting there was something wrong with my pc. i kept saying everything was fine and then just ended the call. right after she rang me back straight away.

I tried ringing back the number using 141 and heard one of those call guardian prompts asking me to say my name and then press #. Seems like this number might have been scammed itself, not necessarily that the person on the other end is the scammer.
