this morning ive had this happen like three times now, first a little silence then a recorded voice just saying goodbye. quite weird really.

Some bloke rang claiming to be from BT saying my internet was hacked and someone was nicking all my data. He warned me my connection would be cut off in an hour unless I gave him access to my laptop so he could "sort it out". I told him I didn't have a laptop and that I'd call my actual provider myself. Then he just ended the call.

Got a voicemail from some dodgy caller claiming to be from BT, saying my phone line's been hacked and would be disconnected. Total rubbish, BT would never send messages like that. I’m a retired BT engineer, so I know what I’m talking about. It’s just a scam!

I got a call with a message saying it was from some place in California. It asked me to press 1 if I’m with BT, or 2 for other providers. Weird thing is, if you don't press any button, it just hangs up without saying anything again.
