They just cut off as soon as the answerphone picked up, didn’t leave any message or nothing.

Picked up the phone without delay, but the person on the other end hung up straight away. There was quite a bit of racket in the background too. Most likely just a call centre.

I reckon it might be a scam, since I couldn’t get through when I tried calling back. Feels like the number could have been faked or spoofed.

Got a call from a woman with an English accent asking if I knew about grants and vouchers to fix up my house. When I said my number’s on the TPS list and asked why she was ringing anyway, she claimed it didn’t matter. I told her she was actually breaking the rules by cold calling me. I double-checked with TPS and my registration is definitely still active. At least this time it wasn’t one of those overseas call centres, so they should be sticking to the laws about unsolicited calls. If this is a UK firm ignoring those rules, it’s pretty disappointing.
