I picked up because the number had a local prefix, but actually, no local numbers start with 17. A bloke just said "hello" and then cut the call straight away. I've gone ahead and blocked it now.

this number tried ringing me but thankfully my call blocker stopped it before i even noticed. i live in thanet, the 01843 area code, and no local numbers here start with a 1 at all, so it's clearly a spoofed number. just another dodgy call to watch out for.

Picked up the phone and they just ended the call straight away.

The number looked unfamiliar on my phone, so I just let it ring out and didn't pick up. No voicemail was left either, which makes me think it was probably some sort of salesperson or a scam call, especially since the number's on the TPS list.

Got a call from a number I didn’t know so I just blocked it and didn’t bother answering.

Had a really annoying call from a firm called something like "Vision". The bloke said they were giving out "vouchers" and started rattling off my address like he was trying to prove he knew me. I told him these cold calls are illegal without consent. He said he had my okay since he supposedly spoke to me last year - which I don’t remember, and even if I did, I wouldn’t have agreed to more calls. Then he went on to repeat my address again, like trying to confirm he was legit. I’ve gone ahead and reported this to the ICO.

This lady phoned me and actually used my surname, saying we'd chatted about windows last year. I told her I didn't remember any call like that, and then she admitted her system had messed up twice and she had to hang up. Quite strange really.
