01482048720 rang me pretending to be from BT, saying my internet was going to be switched off because it was allegedly being used for suspicious activities. They tried to get me to input some stuff on my computer so they could gain access and asked what devices were linked to the broadband. When I answered, she just said ‘correct’. I ended the call and they phoned back two more times. This kind of call could easily fool someone more vulnerable. The woman on the line said her name was Mary, had an Indian accent, and you could hear a call centre buzzing in the background.

Got a call from someone claiming they were from BT, then immediately asked if I'd claimed PPI. I asked who they wanted, and they said "the owner of the number." I explained that about 8 people use this number, so unless they specify who they're trying to reach, they shouldn't bother calling again. I just hung up and blocked the number after that.
