It's pretty clear this is a scam. They say they're with o2 and try to fool you by offering to help lower your bills. But actually, they send you a legit "forgotten password" text from o2 itself, which has a code. If you give them that code, they can get into your account. Never share that number with anyone!

Just got a call from someone saying they were with o2 and could give me 30% off my bill. I was a bit iffy, so I asked if they could send me an email instead, but they said they weren’t allowed because some folks never got their emails and that everything had to be sorted on the phone. Honestly, it felt dodgy, so I wouldn’t share any of your info with them. Total scam alert!

Got a call from someone pretending to be o2. They had me read out a code they sent to my phone, even though it said nowhere to share it with anyone. They tried to tempt me with a 40% discount on my o2 bill, saying it was for being a senior (which I’m definitely not yet). Very sneaky trick, watch out for this!
