Got a call from someone saying they were Virgin Media tech support. They told me to install some remote access app on my phone so they could check if I had any dodgy viruses. The bloke spoke with a pretty thick Indian accent, and I could hear others chatting in the background with the same accent. I later checked with Virgin Media, who said they don’t have call centres in India and they definitely don’t do virus checks like that. Feels like a con to me.
