9 yearsI received a rather dodgy call at around half two on Saturday afternoon (20/05/17). A chap, sporting a quintessentially British name, picked up the line; however, his accent was distinctly Asian, which struck me as rather odd. He claimed to be calling from a company I couldn’t quite place, mainly due to his heavy accent. As soon as he mentioned issues with my computer, I immediately recognised the routine-I've had my fair share of these over the years. I swiftly informed him of what he could do with his call and promptly hung up! In the past, these callers would often present themselves as Microsoft staff, regaling me with tales of supposed security breaches on my computer linked to Windows.
