Today I got a call from the number 01837 845 954, which showed as Okehampton. The person said they were from Mastercard or Visa, but the voice sounded just like those scam calls I’ve had before. I reckon these fraudsters use local numbers to make it seem legit so people are more likely to pick up. Definitely gave me a bad feeling.

Received an automated call claiming to be from Visa Security, warning me of suspicious activity on my credit card. I’ve since blocked the number, just to be safe.

Got a robocall saying it was Visa security. Just ended the call straight away.

Got a call today saying there’d been a charge on my card for 300 quid or something. Had to laugh, I don’t even own a credit card! Quite the cheek to claim it on a recorded line.
