Somebody tried to scam me again, saying they'd disconnect my internet. Luckily, I've got a blocker button on my phone now, so they won’t be able to ring me back anymore.

A lady with an American twang went by the name Shirley. She shared remarks that align with what’s been previously mentioned.

Got a call from some automated voice claiming my internet would be cut off, something about “Shirley” - real rubbish, honestly. Then, just an hour later, the same “Shirley” called again from 01926494171, spouting the exact same prerecorded stuff. After that, this guy Steve from BT phoned, there was an awkward pause, then some Indian bloke started with the usual internet nonsense. At that point, I just hung up.

Just got a call from someone named Shirley. With these new GDPR rules, shouldn't we be reporting numbers like this to the ICO? These scammers really ought to be shut down for good. I wish the government would ban all cold calls completely - they’re so annoying. I don’t even have a BT line anymore. These dodgy callers can be a real threat to people.

Got a call again from some automated lady named Shirley. I just ended the call straight away. She tries to say she’s from an Internet company. I’ve already blocked a bunch of her numbers before. It’s definitely a scam. I’ve blocked this number now as well. If you get a call from 01837532650 and hear that message, just don’t bother answering.

Just got a call from some American-sounding guy leaving a recorded message about our internet being hacked by loads of countries. This isn’t the first either - we’ve had almost 8 calls now, from different numbers each time. It’s proper annoying and I can tell it’s a total scam. Honestly, sick to death of this constant pestering. Ridiculous!

Got another message with that annoying robot voice again, saying they’ll cut off my internet in a couple of days or something. They never say who exactly they are. Just block and forget about it, they’re nothing but a pain.

This American lady with a recorded voice keeps saying her name is Shirley and that the internet's been hacked in loads of foreign countries. I get this message every single day, always from a new number. No matter how many I block, the calls just switch to a different number. It's driving me mad, especially when they ring up early in the morning.

Got a voicemail from an automated voice saying there was an issue with my internet. They asked me to ring them back, which seemed a bit dodgy.

Just like loads of others, I got one of those calls warning me they’d cut my internet off. Seriously, why do these scammers keep getting through? What’s worse is they make it look like they’re ringing from a proper UK number. We’ve had a few from a phone exchange just down the street as well, which is chilling. Best to ignore these calls completely - it’s a dodgy scam. I’ve blocked the number but honestly, it feels pointless since they’re constantly using new ones.

Received a dubious call purporting to be from Internet Services, alleging that my connection had been compromised globally. They offered me a new IP address at no charge, but warned that failure to comply would result in my internet being shut off within a day. They insisted I press 1 to connect with an advisor. Quite the scare tactic!

I picked up and said hello as a guy, but all I got was silence. Funny how they usually go for women instead when they’re trying their scams.

Just got one of those robo calls again telling me my IP's been hacked or something and to call back straight away, press 1 for support. No option to opt out or stop the calls, which is really annoying. These spam calls keep happening every week! Seriously, why hasn’t OFCOM stepped in to sort this out yet?

This number's been ringing me loads recently, and now I’m getting calls every day from loads of different numbers. It’s obviously a scam. I just hang up straight away, no point talking to them. It’s ridiculous that they get away with this nonsense.

Got a robocall from someone saying they're Shirley, claiming to be from an internet company. They insisted my IP address was hacked and threatened to cut off my internet. The person told me to press 1 to reach tech support so they could “fix” my router and change the IP address. Totally a scam! I keep getting these calls at least a few times a week now, and it’s always from new phone numbers. So annoying!

Got calls for the past few days from different numbers, always an automated voice with a strong American accent saying my IP has been hacked by several countries and to press 1 to talk to a tech guy. It happens multiple times a day which is super annoying. My advice? Don’t answer or press anything if the number isn’t familiar. If they need to reach you, they’ll just call back. That’s exactly what I’m sticking to!

Received a call from 01837532650 on my BT landline, with the caller purporting to be from BT, insisting that my internet service was on the verge of expiring.
