I answered the call, yet it was silent on the other end.

I received a recorded message that claimed to be from my bank’s security division. However, it turned out to be a cunning phishing attempt. They were alleging that there were two suspicious transactions linked to my account for services I had never even heard of, let alone used. Quite unsettling, really!

17/06/22 - 1451. Got a recorded voice claiming to be from my bank’s security team. She said there were 2 suspicious charges on my card that I hadn’t made. One was £300 supposedly spent on Amazon, and the other was a £1,100 transfer sent abroad. I was told to press 1 to cancel the transactions. Total scam, really. I got an almost same call last week too, again from a number in my area.
