Got a robo call saying my BT broadband was about to be cut off. It told me to press 1 to go ahead with termination or 2 to talk to BT. I hit 2 and they said there was an issue with my broadband and offered to fix it for free! They asked me how many lights were blinking on my router. I told them I was ending the call and would ring BT myself to see if it was legit. When I hung up, the phone rang straight back and they asked why I’d ended the call. I explained I wanted to verify with BT directly whether it was a scam or not.
