Got a call from this number saying they’d arrest me if I didn’t ring them back, claiming to be from HMRC. I tried phoning them but there was no answer. Honestly, it was really frightening. I’m a pensioner and felt quite shaken - sounds like that’s exactly what they want.

Got a voicemail pretending to be from HMRC, said I was about to be arrested or something crazy and told me to phone a number starting with 1 - that’s hardly a UK number! I nearly rang it back but stopped myself. The ring was odd, first like a normal UK ring then switched to just one short tone, sounds dodgy and could cost a fortune. Don’t bother calling them back; not sure if it’s just some scam or if it’s actually serious. Whoever’s pulling this stunt deserves some serious punishment, maybe life with hard labour, to warn others off.

Like before, I got a voicemail saying there was some kind of arrest warrant out for me! Seriously, since when do the cops drop recorded messages?! So fishy.
