Since the middle of last week, I’ve had loads of calls from different numbers, all saying they’re from Ofcom or something. Proper confusing!

total con artist! i just ended the call straight away to dodge all the nonsense.

I got a voicemail from Ofcom about my internet service. Out of boredom, I stayed on the call and it eventually connected me to a guy with an Indian accent who claimed he could boost my broadband speed and security - but funny enough, he had no clue which company I use. I played along for about 18 minutes before he passed me over to a 'manager' who warned that if I didn’t sort out my connection, Ofcom would disconnect my internet within six hours. They also kept pushing me to install TeamViewer so they could get remote access to my PC. What a dodgy setup!
