I keep receiving repeated calls from someone claiming to be from British Telecom. I simply hang up the phone every time they call, as they have been calling me three times a day. I have now decided to block their number.

I had an international call where they mispronounced my name. A foreign woman just disconnected when I inquired about their identity. It's a shame, to be honest, as I was quite eager for a bit of banter.

I had a chap on the phone claiming to be from BT, saying he could help cut my bills down a notch. However, he wanted me to cough up some money via credit card for the supposed switch. It all seemed a bit dodgy, if you ask me! Definitely smells like a scam.

Had a rather dubious phone call earlier today from someone purporting to be from BT, promising me a more favourable deal. It was blatantly a scam; they mispronounced my name and insisted that I was a BT customer, which I’m not at all. I wisely ended the conversation and hung up immediately.

I repeatedly informed them that I wasn't affiliated with BT and any potential savings they were suggesting would actually lead to higher costs. It seems I squandered a little of their time.

I've just gone ahead and blocked this number on my mobile. It seems that the more of these pesky calls you cut off, the fewer of them seem to come through.

I recently received a phone call from a polite man with an Asian accent. He claimed to be from the BT department, informing me that the cost of my landline would be reduced by £24 starting tomorrow. However, I doubted the authenticity of the call and decided to end it. To prevent further disturbance, I utilized the BT nuisance call block system. After the call, I dialed 1572 and selected option 1 to send that specific number to the Junk bin.

Received an eerie silent call from this number earlier today. The line cut out before anyone had the chance to utter a word.

An individual of Asian descent rang me, claiming to be from BT's technical team, stating that they were slashing our line and call charges. I informed him that we aren't BT customers and sensed it was a blatant scam. I firmly told him to clear off!

Those numpties rang me up again today and totally butchered the pronunciation of my name. I ended up telling my mate from Asia that there’s nobody by that name residing here. Fingers crossed they finally take the hint and stop bothering me!

I was a bit too slow in answering the phone - it rang around 9.00 in the morning. I believe I've received calls from this number in the past. Perhaps it's a scam?

Received a mystery phone call at 7:50 in the morning, the call abruptly ended before I could answer. I suspect it was one of those annoying nuisance calls.

I received a call from a woman who claimed she was representing BT. She wanted me to fork out £15.99 for a service to block unwanted calls. She was after my card information, but I told her to jog on! It would be great if BT could be alerted about this dodgy scheme.

On a lovely Saturday morning at 07:30, my phone rang, and to my disappointment, it was this particular number. I let it continue ringing until my helpful answer machine picked up the call. Surprisingly, no message was left behind. How frustrating!

I received a call from a woman with an Asian accent who said she was from BT. She asked if I’d like to pay £15.99 for a service to block nuisance calls. When she requested my card information, I knew straight away it was a dodgy scam. Honestly, go somewhere else with that nonsense. BT, could you please take note of this con job?

Beginning my chemotherapy today. Received a phone call at 8:45 AM, assuming it was crucial. However, the caller abruptly ended the call without saying anything. How can I prevent further instances of this happening from 01832 00264? These incidents have occurred multiple times before.

Received a call from someone with an Indian accent purporting to be from BT – definitely a scam!

I was recently approached by a man who seemed to be associated with BT, or at least claimed to be. Surprisingly, he didn't seem bothered when I asked for a phone number to contact him again. Unfortunately, the number he provided turned out to be fake. This person was extremely persuasive and had knowledge of my address, landline number, and even my name. It makes me wonder where he obtained this information from. He was offering me an enticing service from BT - a one-time payment for lifetime call blocking. When I mentioned that I don't have a contract with BT, he insisted that he already knew that. He was quite skilled in bluffing. I must warn others to be cautious! The number he gave me to call back was 00808001600.

I tried calling at 7:50 this morning, but there was no answer, so I assumed it was just a mass dialing. As for the gentleman who claims that only his name and phone number can be obtained from BT, there are actually apps that can reveal the name associated with a phone number on someone else's mobile phone, provided they have the same app. I know this because when I gave my mobile phone number to a utility warehouse representative, she used an app to tell me my name.

I received a phone call from someone who claimed to be BT two days ago. Initially, I listened to the conversation, but soon I became aware that it was actually a scam. I decided to end the call and hung up. The woman on the other end was extremely forceful and attempted to intimidate me, which made the situation even more unpleasant.

The phone number 0183200264 appears to originate from an obscure international source. If you’re using the BT Decor 1200 model, it’ll show “international” when the call comes through. However, the BT Decor 2600, with its extra features, will solely display the number itself. Quite the conundrum, isn't it?

I was quite taken aback to discover that they possessed my name and address, especially since they're meant to be private and not publicly listed.

I've got a straightforward query: why on earth can't BT seem to trace these individuals? It really shouldn't be that much of a challenge. The number 0183200264 ought to point to a billing address or a line rental payment, shouldn’t it?

I have a straightforward query: why is it that BT struggles to track these individuals? It shouldn't be an overly complex task, should it? The number 0183200264 ought to clearly point to a billing address or the account holder for the line rental payments.

Claimed to be from BT, these people offered me a one-time call blocking service for £15.99. They promised I'd enjoy unlimited calls without any line rental costs. However, as soon as I requested my account reference, which isn’t my landline number, they abruptly terminated the call. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I must admit, I was initially mistaken when I came across the script of our Indian colleague. It was so convincing that I genuinely believed it belonged to B.T. However, my curiosity led me to this website where I stumbled upon it. I can't help but wonder where they obtained my information from. It seems highly likely that B.T. has fallen victim to a hacking incident. The reason being, I receive frequent calls from individuals claiming to represent the "telephone preference service" from the United States. It's alarming because the only plausible source for both my name and telephone number would be B.T. themselves!

I tend to avoid taking 'international' calls, but today at 8.30 am I decided to answer since it was my son calling from New Zealand. The person on the other end spoke with an Indian accent and claimed to be in London and from BT. They started talking about call blocking. However, I immediately had doubts about their authenticity. I suspected that this may have been one of those scams that they pretend to help prevent. Upon expressing my concerns, the caller abruptly ended the conversation and hung up.

They identified themselves once more as representatives of BT, and their accent indicated they were from the Indian subcontinent. They seemed aware that I was a BT customer and that I paid by direct debit. Their purpose was to offer me a call blocking service with a single payment. However, when I suggested adding the payment to my bill, things took a turn for the worse. They became slightly aggressive because I refused to disclose any card details. I will definitely be reporting this incident to BT.
