I received a call from an older gentleman of Asian descent who claimed they were notified about issues I was experiencing with 'Talk Talk'. Since I don't have any connection to them, it's obvious this was a scam attempt.

Here’s a little suggestion that could possibly be of use, though I can't say for certain. Why not try dropping a text to a fixed-line number like this one? From what I've gathered, BT tends to translate texts into messages that can be received on landlines. Essentially, it will send a ring to the landline equipped with your message. I could be mistaken, but it might just get under their skin a bit!

Absolutely dodgy! I hung up on this number and, wouldn’t you know it, I got a call from a Birmingham number right after. I decided to ring O2, and they verified it's a scam. Best to steer clear!

There was quite an awkward silence... you could practically hear someone in the call centre stirring from their slumber. Same old nonsense, as per usual.

I wasn’t familiar with the number, so I opted not to answer. No voicemail was left, which piqued my curiosity. I decided to do a quick search on the site and came across numerous comments suggesting it’s a scam call. I've now blocked the number to be on the safe side!
