Received a call at 8 o'clock this morning that jolted me from my slumber. I didn’t pick up and they left no voicemail. I’m utterly tired of these pesky scam calls!

The call disconnected as soon as our voicemail kicked in. It appeared to be an overseas number, yet my caller ID displayed it as a UK number. How puzzling!

That numpty rang me yet again this morning, wouldn’t hang up and insisted on being contrary about how I addressed him, all the while insisting he wasn’t pulling a fast one. I just set the handset down next to the telly while Jeremy Vine was on, letting him squabble into the void!

Received yet another call from this number again – typical, no voicemail left, and I simply don’t pick up calls from numbers I don’t recognise. It's likely just another dodgy scammer, really; it feels like I've been bombarded nearly every day ever since Talktalk had that data leak. Quite tiresome, to say the least!

Received a call earlier today, but they didn’t bother to leave a message on the answering machine (the number’s unfamiliar). I'm starting to wonder why I even hold onto my landline; it seems to serve no purpose other than for pesky scam calls!

I've had a call from an unfamiliar number that didn’t bother to leave a message on my voicemail. I’ve got a hunch it’s one of those pesky scam calls I get daily, which is why I now ignore any number that I don’t recognise! It could be a bit dodgy, to be honest.
